Shear studs
In the construction industry, a shear stud is a headed steel pin used in composite structures (steel-concrete connections, e.g. in bridges or floor slabs), as well as for post-installed rebar anchoring and connecting concrete elements. Shear studs transfer shear forces and prevent slip between the steel girder and the concrete slab.
